I have been a member of Wegene from the very beginning in 2000. After starting out as a regular member, I worked my way up to take a leadership position on the Board. I was able to contribute my talents in art & other crafts to help fundraise for our organization. I think that innovation and creativity are an important part of our success. I am so excited to be a part of that innovation here. It is not only the innovativeness of our foundation that initially attracted me, but also the way we’ve ran successfully for the past 17 years.

President Barack Obama said it best, “The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something”. My vision for Wegene is to sponsor as many families in Ethiopia as possible, through supporting in-need children to get a great education in order to become successful citizens.
