Annual Homeless Feeding 3-12-2017

Wegene Youth Club had another successful Homeless Feeding Day last Saturday. It was amazing to see the great turn out and most of all it was heartwarming to see the youth be so enthusiastic about the day. The kids were hands on in the food preparation, bagging of food/drink and toiletries and finally in the distribution to the homeless. Participating in community events such as this is a humbling experience for the young and old and allows our youth to see how privileged they are and the need to give back in any way they can. It is an eye-opening experience that shows our youth that people need help everywhere, not just all the way in Ethiopia but also close to home here in the US. Thank you very much to all who participated and donated items for that day.
