Amarech Worku

From a young age I have always felt the need to help those around me. It was never a question of if I should help, but rather how I could help. This same spirit has carried on throughout my life and led me to become a board member of Wegene. Through this role, I have been able to help people in ways I could have never imagined.

It brings me deep joy and pride to see our community come together to give children hope and help parents rest easier. I am inspired when I think about all the life we have touched, and I can’t wait to see all the good we will continue to accomplish together.

A saying that often comes to mind is:
“Your life is not measured by what you have done, but by what you have done for others.”

My vision for Wegene is to sponsor as many families in Ethiopia as possible by supporting children in need to receive a quality education and become successful, contributing citizens.
